I took this photo one hot early weekday afternoon, in June of 2007. An eastbound Metra train enroute to Chicago Union Station, is stopping to pick up and detrain passengers at the La Grange Road station. This is a lovely summer scene taken in beautiful and upscale west suburban La Grange Illinois. This three track mainline hosts commuter trains between Chicago and Aurora Illinois, as well as BNSF freight trains and the Amtrak Illinois Zephyr -The Southwest Chief -and the California Zephyr passenger trains. A great place for a railfan to bring the camera equipment to anytime of the year.Friday, July 13, 2007
