I took this photo looking south from the Metra Western avenue station platform. A Union Pacific EMD MP 15 DC switcher has just finished its work spotting commuter coaches at the former Chicago & NorthWestern coach yard at North California Avenue. Once the locomotives engineer recieves clearance from the dispatcher, He will back up and head eastbound to the Richard B. Ogilvie Transportation Center -formerly known as NorthWestern Station, to pick up a fresh cut of commuter coaches to be serviced at this coachyard.Friday, July 13, 2007
