I took this photo after work on a foggy evening, back in March of 2007. Seen here is a Union Pacific Railroad, late 1970's era EMD GP 15 locomotive moving backwards as it returns from the interchange connection with the Belt Railway of Chicago. This scene was photographed along West Kinzie Street near North Kilbourn Avenue on Chicago's westside. This is along the Metra / Union Pacific commuter line to Elburn Illinois.
Prior to 1998, this was the former Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad mainline. The area in this photograph, is known as The Northwest Industrial Park.
