One of the most architecturally pleasing commuter rail stations that I have come to know, is the beautiful green and cream colored elevated station in west suburban River Forest Illinois USA. The station is located on Thatcher Avenue just south of West Lake Street. River Forest is a pleasant and upscale community near the villages of Oak Park -Forest Park -and Maywood.
