A southbound CP Rail transfer train on the Belt Railway of Chicago's north / south -Trunk Line, is seen passing a northbound freight train at Hawthorne Junction. The Canadian Pacific train was heading to the Belt Railway of Chicago Clearing Yard near Chicago's Midway Airport.The dark gray approaching clouds required Me to turn on My camera's flash. Doing so demonstrates the abundant use of reflective materials used on railroad equipment today for safety and visibility purposes. Notice the reflective markings -engine number -and reflective red and silver semi trailer tape on the locomotives pilot.
