This is the recently constructed "New" high leval platform commuter rail station, on the Metra ex Illinois Central electric commuter line on East 71st Street. I had ridden on a one day fantrip with the Central Electric Railfans Association back in May of 1990.
This station was an old wooden ricketty depot that looked like it was on it's last leg back then.
The Illinois Central and South Shore facilities looked very Medieval compared to now.
