The side door of Chicago's Vito and Nick's Pizzeria at South Pulaski Road and West 84th Street. Chicago Illinois USA. June 2009.
Being born and raised on the southwest side of the city of Chicago Illinois Myself, one thing I just simply couldn't resist posting a photo of here at Eddie's Railfan Page...is a local neighborhood icon known as a Pizzeria restaurant.
Believe Me....Chicago has PLENTY!
A favorite southside Chicago pizza restaurant I have enjoyed dining at for many years, is the famous Vito and Nick's Pizza. Vito and Nick's was featured recently on the cable TV Food Network show "Diners, Drive Ins and Dives", wich is hosted by Guy Fietti. This photo of the restaurant's own side door on the West 84th Street side of the building, captures that Chicago southside neighborhood look and feel.
Vito and Nick's Pizza now has a few locations these days, but this is the original one that started it all at West 84th Street and South Pulaski Road. This is also where Guy Fietti did his TV show from too.

It's been years since I've been there, but remember that as a great pizza!
Wish I could agree.
