I took this photo one morning in October of 2008. A westbound Metra commuter local enroute to Elgin Illinois, departs from near northwest suburban Elmwood Park Illinois. This train is slowly accelerating toward the diagonal railroad crossing on Grand Avenue after departing from the nearby Elmwood Park Metra commuter rail station.
