Welcome aboard Eddie's Railfan Page from Chicago Illinois. I took this photo looking south toward the Chicago city skyline, from the West Webster Avenue bridge. This is the north branch of the Chicago River near North ashland Avenue. In the distance can be seen a tow boat at work with two river barges along the west bank. The West Webster Avenue and North Ashland Avenue bridges, were originally working draw bridges in decades past, but now have long since been rebuilt into stationary bridges. Surprisingly the old bridge tenders towers are still in place.
Welcome to my rail fan page! Here you'll find information and pictures of railroad related items from the Chicagoland area, Wisconsin and Indiana. Enjoy your stay. All Aboard!
