I took this photo one bright and sunny morning in July of 2007, at Hayford Junction on Chicago's southwest side.
A three unit set of Norfolk Southern locomotives running light, are waiting for clearance to proceed eastbound across the Canadian National ex Grand Trunk Western crosstrack.
Hayford Junction, is one of Chicago's bussiest railroad junctions. Located at West 75th Street and South Central Park Avenue in Chicago's Ashburn neighborhood. The overpass bridge in the background, is South Pulaski Road.
