I took this photo on South Kostner Avenue looking north, way back in January of 1990. The crossing signal in the foreground is used on the Belt Railway of Chicago single track branchline that serves the nearby Santa Fe Corwith Yard to the east. Up above the crossing, is the Chicago Transit Authority rapid transit overhead bridge work under construction. The CTA Orange line would open to the public in October of 1993.Tuesday, August 14, 2007
