I took this photo on a cloudy day after work, back in June of 2007. Seen here racing west enroute to Aurora Illinois, is a Metra express commuter train. The train was passing through the architecturally stylish depot at Stone Avenue in west suburban La Grange Illinois. I spent much time photographing trains here back in the 1980's, when this now BNSF Railway line was the Burlington Northern Railroad. Stone Avenue station is located in the western part of the town of La Grange, just east of Brainard Avenue.Friday, August 03, 2007
