I took this photo back in the year of 1981, on a Family visit to The Illinois Railway Museum. Seen here on static display, and best of all -Outdoors in the sunshine...Is a preserved steam locomotive from the Kansas City Southern affiliate railroad, Louisianna & Arkansas. This locomotive was acquired by the Illinois Railway Museum in the year of 1969. The locomotive and tender were rescued from a swamp that was infested with plenty of Bees, Wasps, and Hornets.
Hmmm. Almost sounds like a "Sting Operation".
This locomotive is now on display inside a barn.

This locomotive would look nice on a staged vintage photo freight train on display. The museum should consider taking it outside, and posing it as such on a special occasion such as the Members weekend sometime.
It would make a great photo prop.
Andy.
