I took this photo looking up from the eastbound platform, of the Metra Elmwood Park Illinois commuter rail station. This is an example of the detail and craftsmanship on a Motive Power International MPI model MP 36PH passenger diesel locomotive that is currently utilized on Chicago area Metra commuter rail trains, and commuter trains of other transit agencys around North America today. These are powerfull locomotives capable of pulling heavy and lenghty commuter trains, and obtaining high speed too.A good dependable machine manufactured by Motive Power International of Boise Idaho. This company was originally Morrison Knudson.
