A westbound Burlington Northern freight train is seen speeding through west suburban Hindsdale Illinois on a lovely Sunday afternoon during the Autum season of 1989. With gold leaves on the trees, mild temperatures in the air and a great day to go adventuring on a bicycle, I was glad that I had My camera with Me on this day.

Is this near the West Hindsale station or further east near downtown?
Hi Joe!
This photo was taken further east in the downtown area. The white steeple above the locomotive cab, is the Hindsdale Illinois U.S Post Office.
Thank You.

Man! I had a ton of photos of the BN from Congress Park to Belmont during the late 70's and mid 80's. Plus, I had photos of the activity on the IHB line in La Grange. I have no clue what happened to those photos.
I know the feeling buddy.
I used to have some black and white GTW Elsdon Yard photos, and some photos of the A,T,& S F
cow and calf switchers from when I was in Curie High School's photo
lab class. ( 1979 -1980.)
I also lost some 1990 vintage phots
from Chicago Ridge Tower, and a
set from the September 1992 BN
EMD E-9 Last run fantrip.
I moved 4 times since 1990, and
I lost these railfan classics.
Thank You.
