I took this photograph just south of the intersection of South Archer Avenue and west 47th Street east of South Lawndale Avenue, on the southwest side of Chicago. Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe rebuilt 1950 vintage EMD model GP-9 roadswitcher and slug unit, are seen working the south hump leads at the former Santa Fe Corwith Yard in April of 1984. Locomotive # 1311 mostly performed switching assignments at Corwith Yard, but sometimes would be found working the Illinois Northern industrial branchline local in the Little Village neighborhood occasionally. A,T & S,F Locomotive # 1311 and slug unit working the south hump at Corwith Yard. Chicago Illinois USA. April 1984.
