An eastbound Metra commuter local enroute to Chicago Union Station, passes a Canadian Pacific transfer train in northwest suburban Franklin Park Illinois. I took this photo in bitterly cold conditions, with a strong wind blowing out of the west in January of 2007. The freight train is departing Bensenville Yard, and is more than likely heading to the Belt Railway of Chicago interchange at Cragin Junction. From there, it will proceed southbound to the Belt Railway of Chicago Clearing Yard in Bedford Park Illinois.Thursday, February 14, 2008

I also met my wife at the hub roller rink.we will celebrate our 62nd anniversary in January 2016. we went by Vince & Gloria. we started going there right after it opened. we were married in 1954. we are both 81 years old now. we went there Fri,Sat,Sun & wed. It was a blast. We made many many friends there. Some may still be living. I was always in the middle strutting.
