I was approaching the railroad crossing on 73rd Avenue in Elmwood Park Illinois just as the gates were lowering. I got out of My car and photographed this westbound Metra express commuter train enroute to Elgin illinois. The locomotive is a Motive Power International model MP36PH passenger locomotive built at their factory in Boise Idaho. This model locomotive is a powerfull and dependable modern machine today, and is in demand by commuter rail agencys all over North America.Wednesday, February 20, 2008
