I took this photo looking west across La Grange Road / Illinois U.S Route # 12 / 45 located in west suburban La Grange Illinois. A westbound Burlington Northern / Metra ( Early days.) commuter local enroute to Aurora Illinois, has just came to a stop at the La Grange Road commuter rail station wich is also shared by Amtrak trains.
Notice the orange reflective diagonal safety stripes, wich were used on certain Chicago commuter train lines during the 1970's and 80's.

Today reflective red is the current safety standard in use on Metra commuter rail trains traveling around the greater Chicagoland area.
