I took this photo one day after work, in early March of 2007. An eastbound CN switching train has just left the nearby former Ilinois Central Hawthorne Yard in Cicero Illinois, and is now heading to Crawford Yard with a cut of tank cars to be sorted at this former Illinois Central facility.Notice the GTW markings on the cab side. The hill in the background, is the site of the long abandoned and soon to be redeveloped Bel Air Drive In Movie Theatre at West 31st Street and South Cicero Avenue. The tracks in the foreground, are the Belt Railway of Chicago.
