Avenue overpass bridge, which overlooks the Belt Railway of Chicago's

Baltimore Transit Company streetcars at the Harford Road Yard. Baltimore Maryland, Circa 1950's era.
I found this photograph at my Link Page "New Dave's Railpix"
located to the right of your computer screen.
The Baltimore Transit Company, operated electric city
streetcars or trolleys until 1963, and electric trolley
buses until 1959. This photograph, is a behind
the scenes photograph, from the back yard of one
of their streetcar barn / maintenance facilities during
the final decade of service.
A southbound Canadian National freight train, waits on a hold order along South Central Park Avenue near Hayford Junction. Chicago Illinois. August 2015.
Just recently, I paid a short visit to one of my old railfan haunts
I used to hang out at during the 1980's. Good old Hayford
Junction, located at West 75th Street and South Central Park
Avenue, in Chicago's Ashburn neighborhood.
Seen here idling on the former Grand Trunk Western mainline
just north of West 79th Street, is a southbound CN freight
train, that had just crept through the interchange a few city
blocks north of here at Hayford Junction. This train was in
the process of departing from the Belt Railway of Chicago
Clearing Yard, and once given the green signal, will soon
be heading toward places like Detroit Michigan.
The former Gulf, Mobile & Ohio Railroad lives in H.O Scale!
This late 1960's or early 1970's era caboose hop from the
Gulf, Mobile & Ohio Railroad, was photographed in
2014, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers,H.O
Scale Model Railroad Club in Oak Park Illinois.

Happy memories from the G,M & O as well as other
fallen flag railroads of the past, even today's modern
railroads and equipment, can be seen operating at
this pleasant Chicago area model railroad club.
