Just think, Jimmy's Gyros made this blog possible and brought about such fantastic music as "The Ballad of White Castle" and Cabrini Green in the Caribbean" not to mention a Liberace commercial and Sam Kinison commercial!
Let's also not forget the race to the washroom at Chicago Ridge Mall - it wouldn't have happened without coffee from Jimmy's Gyros!
Jimmy's Gyros was to the Brighton Park neighborhood, the same thing that Floyd's Barber Shop was on the Andy Griffith Show on TV. It was a local place with friendly and colorfull characters, and a strong sense of community.
Having fun by Your house on the side Tom, I loved doing the comercial "Spoof" on audio tape
"Sam Kinison Chevrolet". Aaarrgh!
Arrrghh! The Liberace doing an "Empire Carpet Commercial comedy sketch was a blast too.
Ha ha ha! Our group from Jimmy's Gyros could have been writers on the TV show "Saturday Night Live".
Jimmy's Gyros was definately a fun place to visit after work.
Thank You.
Eddie.
