A two train meet on the Missisippi lift bridge.

I took this photograph earlier this year on Wednsday night, January
14th, 2014, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers,H.O Scale
Model Railroad Club in Oak Park Illinois. This group also has their
own Facebook page known as OPSME

In this photograph, My late 1960's and early 1970's era Atchison,
Topeka & Santa Fe freight train, meets fellow club member Chuck
Colin's freight train from his own Oak River & South Chicago R R.

Chuck's freight train, features a modern era (Today) rebuilt 1970's era
wide vision caboose, that was transformed in to a "Shoving Platform"
caboose used in switching maneuvers on railroads, who no longer use
cabooses requiring a ride aboard crew. On the prototypes which are also
refered to as "Riding Platforms"...these are used as idler cars, and as a
outdoor platform for crews to ride on during reverse moves, when there
are multiple grade crossings to flag for stopping motorists.

The windows and doors are permanently sealed, with metal sheets welded
over the former openings. Nobody can be inside anymore.

                                              Thanks Chuck.
