Northern Pacific Railroad EMD SW 1200 yard switcher # 130 during the 1960's.

Before there was today's BNSF Railway, there was the
Burlington Northern Railroad, which was made up
of four railroads that merged together on March 2nd 1970.

The four railroads that made up the Burlington Northern Railroad
were...The Great Northern Railway, The Northern Pacific, The
Chicago, Burlington & Quincy, and the Spokane, Portland
& Seatle Railroad. In 1980, the Saint Louis & San Francisco
Railroad Aka "Frisco", was also acquired by the BN and
would soon merge in to this big mega railroad.

This photograph shows how it was like, before these railroads
had formed a big mega merger, when times were much
simpler back in 1967.
