EMD was great business for IHB through the 60's & 70's. As the first generation diesels wore out they came to EMD as trade ins and EMD sold the remains to the Pielet Brothers scrap yard across the tracks to the east. Old engines, new engines, and scrap were all revenue loads for IHB.
