Lehigh Valley Railroad EMD SW 1 diesel switcher locomotive # 118 at Bethlehem Pennsylvania. October 24th, 1976.

One of the six bankrupt northeastern United States
railroads that made up Conrail after purchase /
"Bail Out" by the United States govorment in 1976,
was the Lehigh Valley Railroad.
 
Here is one of their former locomotives, still wearing
dark red and gold Lehigh Valley markings, after
the formation of Conrail.
