The aftermath of Chicago's blizzard of 2011. Elmwood Park Illinois USA. Wednsday, February 2nd, 2011.

One memory from 2011 that is bound to stand out in anyones mind that lives in the greater Chicagoland area, was the infamous Tuesday, February 1st Chicago Blizzard of 2011.

A record 20.9 inches of snow fell on the entire Chicago area begining in the afternoon of February 1st around 3:15 PM, and ending the following morning. Many motorists had found their vechicles buried in ridiculously high snow drifts, and had to reach for a hand shovel to dig themselves out.

For older Chicagoans like Myself...It was just like 1967 and 1979 all over again.

Thanks.
