Storm damage. Chicago Illinois USA. Monday, July 11th, 2011.

Hello everyone!

Welcome aboard Eddie's Rail Fan Page, from the city of Chicago Illinois USA.

Monday, July 11th, 2011....would see the greater Chicagoland area pelted by a severe heavy thunderstorm with 75 mile per hour winds.

The storm hit around 8:15 AM. I was waiting to pick up a passenger on My paratransit bus in north suburban Evanston Illinois. My other passengers and I, found ourselves witnessing a small "Micro Burst" tornado hit the area that We were waiting in.

There were several downed tree limbs and debris left in the storms wake.

This photo was taken around 1:00 PM, at the intersection of North Oketo Avenue and West Barry Street in the city of Chicago Illinois.
The 75 MPH winds, may have knocked over this tall Evergreen tree. There were also many lightning strikes and power outages as well.

It was indeed a very rough morning yesterday in the greater Chicagoland area.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
