Reverse light engine movement. Metra Western Avenue Station. Chicago Illinois USA. December 2006.

One of Metra's newest in commuter train diesel locomotives, has just recieved clearance from the dispatcher, and has backed out of the service coach yard at Grand Avenue onto the former Milwaukee Road mainline. From here it will "Back Up" a few miles to Chicago Union Station in preparation for the afternoon and evening rush hour commuter trains being staged ahead of time.
This locomotive is manufactured by a company known as "Motive Power Industries" of Boise Idaho (Formerly Morrison Knudson), as the model is referred to as an MP36PH. These locomotives are becoming populair as several commuter rail agencys in North America have been purchasing them within the last 2 years.
