Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad switching local crosses a tall steel trestle.

I took this photograph at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers,H.O Scale Model Railroad Club in Oak Park Illinois.

I am a lifelong fan of the former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad, and I model and operate some of their period trains occasionally at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers,H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.

My Bachman Santa Fe Alco S 4 yard switcher and red Athearn cupola caboose, help to create a scene out of the 1960's era. The locomotive is painted in Santa Fe's 1950's era "Zebra Stripe" color scheme used from 1950 to 1960, while the caboose is painted in Santa Fe's "New Image" bright red color scheme, which was introduced in 1966.

If this really was the 1960's, this locomotive hasn't been to the paint shop yet, as were some of the prototype Santa Fe zebra striped engines that operated during the 1960's.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
