Eastbound Illinois Central Gulf transfer train. Chicago Illinois. January 1986.

I took this photo just below the South Kedzie Avenue overpass bridge at West 75th Street in Chicago, back in January of 1986.

An eastbound Illinois Central Gulf Railroad transfer freight train heading eastbound over the Belt Railway of Chicago, passes by the adjacent Nabisco cookie factory east of Hayford Junction.

The badly faded orange paint on the locomotives and the overcast Winter sky, made for an interesting color effect.
