The San Diego Trolley prepares for departure somewhere near downtown. San Diego California. June 2013.
Being an avid railfan that I am, no trip to the city of San Diego California, woud be complete without a sighting of the popular San Diego Trolley.
The San Diego Trolley which is operated by the San Diego MTS / Metropolitan Transit System, has been in operation since the early 1980's, and serves the inner city neighborhood areas of San Diego, as well as some of the outlying near suburban locations.
This picture was unplanned, as we had made a wrong turn somewhere, and were now officially "Lost" near downtown San Diego. After traveling through a rough looking neighborhood with homeless transients congregated underneath a viaduct, we soon arrived at a red traffic signal, and caught this view of the San Diego Trolley preparing for departure at an unknown location during rush hour.
