I took this photograph in Chicago's Archer Heights neighborhood near Midway Airport, way back in April of 1990.
An eastbound Chicago Transit Authority Rt # 62 Archer Avenue bus enroute to downtown Chicago, passes by near South Archer and Keeler Avenues on a sunny springtime afternoon.
The bus in the photograph, is a mid 1970's era GMC "New Look" TDH Series fishbowl windshield 40 foot transit bus, which was operating in it's final years on Chicago city streets. These buses were retired from the CTA roster in 1996.
