First Transit takes delivery of "New" 2014 Ford E 450 paratransit mini buses. Glenview Illinois. Friday, May 9th, 2014.

                                   After several months...the rumors became true.

        First Transit began taking delivery of several new 2014 model Ford E 450 Super Duty
        paratransit mini buses, at their North Cook garage facility in north suburban Glenview
        Illinois on Friday, May 9th, 2014.

        The new buses burn unleaded gasoline fuel, operate very quietly, have superior acceleration,
         are two feet longer, and are 10 feet , 6 inches in height.  The older diesel Ford paratransit
         mini buses acquired by First Transit in 2008 and 2009, will be gradually phased out due to
         age and various mechanical and dependability issues.
