Saturday afternoon fun at Marzano's Clearing Bowl. (gone) Chicago Illinois USA. March 1985.

I took this photo in March of 1985, at the long gone Marzano's Clearing Bowl. Marzano's Clearing Bowl was located at West 65th Street and South Central Avenue, directly across the street from Chicago's Midway Airport. Seen here hamming it up for the camera, is My buddy Steve. It was early in the afternoon on a Saturday, and the bowling leagues hadn't arrived yet. Steve, Myself, and a friend named Jeff I knew from My days attending nearby Curie High School, decided to go bowling on a gloomy late winter day. We had a wonderfull time that day.
Marzano's Clearing Bowl was demolished in 1995. A small city park occupies this site today, in Chicago's Clearing neighborhood.

Hi Leomemorial!
It's great to hear from You again.
How are You and Your family doing?

Unfortunately....I didn't plan ahead well enough back then, and did NOT take a photo on the outside of Clearing bowl. As Herman Munster used to say on TV
Darn! Darn! Darn!

However, having this and a couple of other inside photos in My collection...It wasn't totally lost. I miss this place!

Thank You.
Eddie.
