Remnants from former or "Fallen Flag" railroads, can sometimes show up on location somewhere, when You least expect them to.

I spotted this former Conrail "Trailvan" piggyback service truck trailer this past Wednsday, in northwest suburban Bensenville Illinois. This trailer was quickly and very poorly painted over in a hurry, sometime after CSX and Norfolk Southern acquired and divided Conrail up through merger in 1999.

Conrail existed from 1976 until 1999. Their popular trailer on flatcar service or "Piggyback" operation utilizing these truck trailers, named these trailers as "Trailvans".
