The Hesston Steam Museum. Hesston Indiana USA. Sunday, September 12th, 2010.

One place that I have always enjoyed visiting throughout the years, is The Hesston Steam Museum located just east of Michigan City Indiana, near the border at New Buffalo Michigan.

This lovely northwest Indiana attraction, features operating narrow guage working steam train rides through a beautiful forest and field setting out in the countryside.

The locomotive shown here, is a Meter Guage ( U.S 2 foot track guage) industrial 0-8-0 steam locomotive from the European Nation that was formerly known as East Germany.

No longer hauling logging or mining trains in Germany, today it hauls visiting tourists in northwest Indiana.

For more information about The Hesston Steam Museum, log on to www.hesston.org

Thanks.
Eddie K.
