I took this photo this past Wednsday night, at The Oak Park Society of Model Engineers H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.

Fellow club member Tom, owns and operates these classic 1950's era Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad freight service EMD F 7 cab unit diesel locomotives.

This locomotive color scheme, was one of the most attractive and striking during North America's early diesel era, if not the most difficult and expensive to maintain.

Tom's Rock Island locomotives are sound equipped, and makes it easy to imagine that You are standing trackside sometime during the year of 1954 perhaps. Especially when His train passes You by on the club's layout.
