The Hillside Public Library located at 405 Hillside Avenue in west suburban Hillside Illinois, welcomes local Chicago area historian and photographer Edward Kwiatkowski to the library's downstairs meting room on Saturday, February 25th from 1 to 3 PM.
Mr Kwiatkowski is also known as Eddie K, the host of a local Chicago based internet site known as "Eddie's Railfan Page". http://eddiesrailroad.blogspot.com
Eddie will be presenting a musical photo slideshow / multi media event entitled "When Chicago Rode The Streetcars, And Other Rail Subjects".
If You or someone You know were one of the many people who grew up in the city of Chicago Illinois prior to the end of CTA electric streetcar operations in June of 1958, then You won't want to miss this historic transit ride down memory lane.
Eddie's homemade musical photo slideshow, is set to authentic historic period music ranging from Ragtime Piano, Dixieland Jazz, and 1940's era Big Band Standards.
This will be a fun event, and We hope to see You there.
