Welcome aboard the "Bus Day" edition of Eddie's Railfan Page!

Two weeks ago, my lovely wife Cheryl and I went on a much deserved and very long overdue vacation, to the city of San Diego California.

One of the most "Unique" buses I had seen in operation during our vacation, were these incredible and yet very basic open air double deck buses, that transport visiting tourist at the San Diego Zoo.

The San Diego Zoo is "Huge" in real estate, and is approximately three to four times larger than Chicago's Brookfield Zoo, with plenty of "Uphill and Downhill" terrain to navigate. Believe me..it is a real workout just spending a day "Hoofing it"on your feet.

These colorful open air buses, are actually very spacious, and provided a unique sightseeing opportunity during most any visit to the San Diego Zoo.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
