I took this photograph way back in December of 1989.
A Grand Trunk Western Railroad freight train is viewed waiting for clearance from the dispatcher, and will soon depart from the nearby Belt Railway of Chicago's own Clearing Yard just west of the South Pulaski Road overpass bridge in the distance.
Once clearance is given, the train will slowly proceed to my location here at Hayford Junction, interchange on to GTW rails via the interchange connection, and head southbound over home rails to Detroit Michigan.
