I took this photo one morning in December of 2007, after a heavy lake effect snowstorm had left it's mark in the greater Chicagoland area. I was taken a walk through Commons Park in what appeared to be a Winter Wonderland setting, when I spotted a headlight out of the west and heard the airhorns of an approaching Canadian National Railroad transfer freight train. The train is seen here adjacent to the northside of Commons Park. This is the former Illinois Central RR Iowa Division Mainline through here.
