The Oak Park Society of Model Engineers H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.Oak Park Illinois USA. May 2011.

I took this photo a few weeks ago, at the May "Special OPS" session at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.

The special operating session or "OPS" as the club prefers to cal it, is a chance to operate an H.O Scale model train on the club layout...just like a real everyday railroad does. The trains are operated, dispatched, and put together with a switch list or waybill, as an actual railroad would do. Believe Me...it is more complicated than it really sounds. Fellow club member Gary, is a former career railroader from the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad many years ago. His much appreciated expertise and knowledgable supervision, was a big help that night.

Seen here is My Athearn, Santa Fe EMD GP 35...operating in local switching service.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
