I took this photograph while enjoying a weekend bicyle ride through south suburban Alsip Illinois, way back in April of 1990.
It is now springtime in the greater Chicagoland area, and the ice cream vendors of the Alexander's Sunshine Ice Cream Company will soon be driving the many city and suburban residential streets to stop and hope to sell some refreshments.
Notice the wrecked ice cream truck body in the company's yard to the left of the photograph.
