Marlboro cigarette billboard advertisement at NorthWestern Station. ( Gone - Demolished 1984) Chicago Illinois. June 1983., a photo by Eddie from Chicago on Flickr.
I took this photograph way back in June of 1983 in downtown Chicago Illinois.
For many years, the city of Chicago Illinois was just "Flooded" with billboard advertisements from various cigarette companies.
I took this photograph I believe on the Clinton Street side of Chicago's 1911 built NorthWestern Station, which was demolished in 1984. During the 1970's and 80's, the people at Marlboro Cigarettes, advertised their products here, and at many other downtown Chicago establishments.
Luckilly, people are smarter these days, and there are fewer cigarette billboards around Chicago today compared to back in the day.
