Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe FM H 12-44 yard switcher # 518 at Joliet Illinois in May of 1966. Jim Parker photograph.
The former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad, has definately been a lifelong favorite of mine.
I found this mid 1960's era photograph from the A,T & S,F at My Link page Fallen Flags.Org, which is located to the right of your computer screen at www.rr-fallenflags.org
Railfan photographer Jim Parker, photographed Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad Fairbanks Morse & Comapany built model H 12-44 high hood yard switcher # 518, at work switching cars in the city of Joliet Illinois in May of 1966.
The lcoomotive is wearing the classic blue with yellow ends and frame color scheme introduced by the Santa Fe in 1960, and phased out in 1972.
