The "New" Chicago, South Shore And South Bend Railroad steel bridge at South Torence Avenue and East 130th Street. Chicago Illinois. Sunday, April 21st, 2013.

I took this photograph recently near the Chicagho city limits west of neighboring Hammond Indiana.

After 100 plus years of service, the old Chicago, South Shore And South Bend Railroad's original overpass bridge at East 130th Street and South Torence Avenue, has finally been replaced.

Here is the "New" steel bridge, which was assembled off site, and rolled in to place with special robot transporting equipment. The old bridge and approaches are currently being demolished.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
