I took this photograph way back in early September of 1989.
Facing east on West 71st Street in southwest suburban Bridgeview Illinois, we see three former Milwaukee Road boxcars coupled on to a northbound transfer train, traveling over the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad.
The West 71st Street railroad crossing has since been taken out of service, and is currently being rebuilt in to an underpass viaduct.
