H.O Scale models of North American 1950's and 60's era box cars from the Detroit & Toledo Shore Line and the New York Central railroads.

I took this photograph recently, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers,H.O Scale Model Railroad Club in Oak Park Illinois.

I enjoy modeling 1960's and 70's era American freight trains. These two 50 foot boxcars, are painted in the 1960's era color schemes from the Detroit & Toledo Shore Line Railroad (Left), and the New York Central Railroad.

Aside from the many "Plain" brown box cars that rolled the rails during this period, several railroads began to modernize their image, and paint cars and locomotives in to new and more colorful paint schemes like the two examples that are shown here.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
