German meter guage steam locomotive taking on water. The Hesston Steam Museum. Hesston Indianna USA. October 1998.

I photographed this behind the scenes look of a steam locomotive, as it's tender was being refilled with water for the next run on museum trackage. This locomotive is a "Meter Guage" steam locomotive, that was originally from the nation formerly known as "East Germany". This is a small industrial outside frame 0-8-0 with tender. The locomotive was used on Germany's Black Forest Railroad and possibly some other industrial railroad lines in Germany as well. Those tiny 8 driving wheels have plenty of Torque, and can easily handle the museums steep and very hilly railroad grades.
